Long before Flower & Oak became what it is today, we were just Mark and Mike. Two brothers who have always been close despite being complete and total opposites.
Mark is the quintessential creative.
Observant, entrepreneurial, all-in on any idea that inspires him. He started filming weddings while still in high school and quickly earned a reputation as a cinematic storyteller, first around our hometown and eventually far beyond it.
Mike is your typical left-brained, Type-A kind of guy.
Organized, analytical, and always thinking about how something could work better. A former RN, he spent years as a high-level recruiter in the medical field and never imagined his career would eventually lead him into the wedding industry.

Somewhere along the way, we realized our differences were less of an obstacle to be overcome, and more of a secret sauce that worked better when blended together. Partnering to grow F&O wasn’t on either of our bingo cards, but we’re so thankful that’s where life took us. Our joint perspectives have shaped Flower & Oak into something neither of us could have built alone:

We might still differ on a few things personally…like the appropriate amount of time to “borrow” something from each other before giving it back. (Mike: 2 business days. Mark: When Mike notices it’s still missing.) But when it comes to the “why” behind this business, we’re on the exact same page.

As creatives focused solely on weddings, we have the privilege of documenting couples at the beginning of a new chapter and capturing footage that allows their memories to live far beyond the celebration.
